About Us

Hi, I’m Julia Laweh (MFA), an award-winning curator, filmmaker, and photographer. My work has always revolved around the idea of self-perception, storytelling, and the way we see ourselves through images. For years, I’ve explored art and photography, yet I always felt something was missing— a space where people weren’t just subjects in front of the lens, but the artists behind it, shaping their own image.

That’s what inspired mirror mirror— a self-portrait studio where you take full control of the camera. No photographer, no outside gaze— just you, the mirror, and the moment. Whether you come alone, with a loved one, or even with your child or pet, this space is yours to shape.

Self-portrait studios have gained popularity across Asia and Europe, giving people the freedom to document their stories in a way that feels authentic and deeply personal. Yet, this concept is still new to North America— we are just beginning our journey here in Montreal.

I invite you to be part of this new experience. Come see yourself differently, create, and explore— because no one captures your essence better than you.
